Fellow, funded by San Francisco based advertising agency Venables Bell + Partners, is an app-based professional community for women in advertising. What started out as an idea from one of the agency’s Art Director turned into a start-up like venture hoping to inspire and lift up women within and beyond their agency walls.

Recently featured in Adweek’s Diversity & Inclusion column (read article here), Fellow aims to minimize the gender gap in leadership roles around the industry by providing one-to-one, female-to-female mentorship.

About the project
It’s not a secret that women trail behind men in leadership roles and such is the the case in advertising. In the U.S., women make up about 50% of those working in the advertising industry, yet according to The 3% Movement only 11% are Creative Directors. In an industry historically male dominated and with current societal concerns shining light on women’s issues, the time is evermore present and necessary for a woman-to-woman mentoring app to exist.

Goal
The goal of this project is to produce an MVP.
